Equestrian Buildings and Facilities

Examples of our bespoke custom made stable frames, galvanised or powder coated, with timber or recycled plastic cladding.

Stable building Oaksey

The customer required a stable complex to include 5 individual stables, feed room, tack room with bathroom, workshop/haystore and dog room/kennel.  They wanted it to blend into the existing surroundings, focusing on using black steel work and oak features whilst re-using the byre columns.

This involved the demolition of an existing cattle byer and the recycling of existing Cotswold stone. We provided all new steel work, stable frames, block and stone work, oak beams, slate roofing, concreting and draining services.
The result is an aesthetically striking and practical stable complex that sits well in its surroundings.

Poulshot stable complex

The customer required a stable complex to include 9 x stables. This project was complex as had to adhere to listed building regulations, so had to re-use and incorporate existing red brick walls.

We completely demolished the pre-existing agricultural building, with a complete design-layout creation. We fabricated and installed new galvanised steelwork with internal stalls and ground works, concrete, fibre cement roof, castle-boarding.
The result is a practical stable complex that sits well in its surroundings and meets planning requirements.

Stable Block - Longleat

The customer required a stable block cut into the hillside that met with existing planning and drawings.

This project involved extensive ground works including the bulk excavation of over-site and laying of the concrete slab. This project was made extra tricky due to the awful access to the site on the side of a hill with no roadway! We fabricated and erected a galvanised steel frame, clad in tanalised shiplap timber with a fibre cement roof.

Future Projects

The customer is after a covered round lunging arena, so we've provided CAD visualisations for both the customers to see, and for planning purposes. All planning applications are being handled by us.

Hill House Farm

'Solstice Equestrian Projects have had the pleasure to work alongside Hillhouse Sport Horses in realising a custom young stock facility.

From the first bucket of the excavation of some 3000 tonnes of soil, to the construction of a 150 x 40ft galvanised steel frame, the foundations to the concrete floor and the installation of services to the final groundworks complete with young stock loading bay; we managed and delivered the project from start to finish. Our speciality.

The internals are of a quality to match. Provided and installed by Roewer & Rueb, these exceptional stables give ten individual 8 meter by 4.5 metre spaces each suitable for up to four foals.

We are humbled to have been chosen to provide such a fantastic facility for Wilson Youngstock LLP and, thus, aid in their continued production of top quality showjumping horses.
